	Welcome to Smarty Pants Press Part of Smarty Pants Press’ mission is to create material that is joyful and promotes literacy development. We create products that support the arts through the use of “real music”, as one parent put it, in a variety music styles and use different art mediums for illustrations. In the future, there will be activities and information on various art mediums to download.
				Cindy Cantrell A teacher, national consultant, trainer of trainers, instructor and author, Cindy Cantrell is the founder and creative force behind Smarty Pants Press. For more than two decades her career has fueled her interest and dedication to understanding and supporting the literacy development of children. Cindy’s varied experience has given her the vast knowledge necessary to develop innovative instructional products for education. Her books, CD’s and videotapes are designed to give teachers of reading, writing and language arts the support they need and simultaneously empower the young reader. She has taught children from kindergarten to fifth grade, as well as students at the college level. For the past 10 years Cindy has created effective workshops for teachers, administrators and supervisors on strategies and techniques for early literacy. Cindy believes that as educators we have been granted the privilege to transform the lives of children. “Our perception can mean the difference between success and failure. If we truly believe in a child’s success, this child will also believe and miracles will happen!”
